Clean your flower vase thoroughly before putting your flowers in to prevent bacterial growth (for hand bouquets).
Fill the vase with at least ⅔ water sufficient to cover the stems. Replace water in your flower vase every day.
Remove wilting petals and leaves under water as soon as you see them.
Trim the stems diagonally for half an inch using a clean pair of scissors under running water every few days.
Keep flowers away from ripening fruit, which can cause it to wilt faster.
