Up your Instagram game by sipping a hot cup of coffee and snapping stellar photos at these stylish coffee shops in the City of Angels.

ALFRED COFFEE & KITCHEN

Alfred is arguably the classiest coffee shop you’ll ever set your eyes on in one of LA’s classiest tree-lined neighborhood. With its iconic “But first, coffee” catchphrase slash motto painted neatly and visibly on its walls, coffee lovers know they’re in the right place. Fancy floral wallpapers, artistically hand-painted walls by graphic designer, Blanda Eggenschwiler, and pristine bright white tiles, every inch of this place is undeniably Instagrammable.

Alfred, which started in 2013, has several locations all over Los Angeles. But our favorite is the one in Melrose Place. Given its fashionable location, filled with high-end labels and a hotbed for models and celebrities, it’s no surprise if you spot Kylie Jenner and Gigi Hadid getting their own caffeine fix here.

EIGHTFOLD COFFEE

A hot cup of the day’s special brew plus delectable pastries, Carrara marble countertops and tables, and all-white interiors equals the perfect recipe for Instagram flat-lay photos.

INTELLIGENTSIA

A go-to coffee hub since its inception in 2007, Intelligentsia popularized the signature Angeleno cold coffee beverage that got everybody hooked, featuring four shots of espresso shaken with milk, agave, and ice. But aside from their artisanal brews, locals and tourists are lining up at their Silver Lake location for one more reason: their floors. People are literally floored with their vibrant blue tiles that seem to transport customers to Morocco with every SOTD snap!

CARRERA CAFÉ

Top influencers, such as Marianna Hewitt, Angelica Blick, and Chelsea Lankford of True Lane, are just some of Carrera Café’s popular patrons. This place gives that industrial chic meets black and white kind of vibe and gets ample amount of natural light – the secret to all gorgeous photos – set the picture-perfect backdrop for all OOTDs.

COFFEE COMMISSARY

Because industrial is the new thing when it comes to interior design these days, Coffee Commissary is on our list. But more than its aesthetically pleasing ambiance, Coffee Commissary has us coming back for more because aside from their artisanal coffee, which is superb, by the way, they also offer sumptuous and filling dishes that are totally perfect if you’re coming here for brunch. Plus points, too, if you’re a food blogger, or at least pretending to be one.

THE WHEELHOUSE

Who says bicycles and coffee don’t go together? As its name suggests, The Wheelhouse, which is a huge two-story industrial building, sells bicycles, bike parts, and offers repairs – and brews some of the best-tasting hot and cold beverages on top of that courtesy of Olympia Coffee Roasting Company and August Uncommon Tea. Stand behind their wooden bookshelves or vintage-looking bikes while holding a cup of coffee and get a full sweep of hearts on Instagram the next day.

GO GET EM TIGER

Larchmont’s pride, Go Get Em Tiger is known for its trending spaceman wall mural. The menu offerings in here are awesome, too. We’re crazy about their iced almond macadamia latte and waffle with berries, ricotta, drizzled with honey. #foodie

VERVE COFFEE ROASTERS

The sweet spot between classic and contemporary influences, Verve Coffee Roasters in Melrose has captured our coffee-loving hearts, too. Flooded with natural light, every nook and cranny will definitely be #feedgoals. In addition, Verve also sells Juice Served Here and vegan pastries by Erin McKenna, which is another upside if you or a friend you want to hang out with is a vegan, health-conscious, or God forbid, want to give coffee a pass.
