7 DIY Pumpkin Flowers for a Fab and Festive Thanksgiving

7 DIY Pumpkin Flowers for a Fab and Festive Thanksgiving

Aside from pumpkin spice and everything nice, the season of fall brings other surprises too. It ushers in the biggest and most exciting celebrations we’ve all been waiting for. Starting off with the Jewish celebration of Rosh Hashanah (which we’re only a few days shy, by the way), Halloween, Thanksgiving, and then ending it with a bang with Christmas and New Year come winter.

Of course, every celebration calls for decorations. Because it’s the fall season, it just makes perfect sense and seems practical that we take advantage of the abundant supply of pumpkins and other beautiful and naturally occurring fall materials we get our hands-on.

Take a look at these amazing pumpkin centerpieces that will make every fall celebration even more fab and festive:

1. Pumpkin with Daisies or Sunflowers

Who says good ‘ole pumpkins don’t have glamour and style? Leave the tacky jack-o'-lanterns to kids. Glam up with pumpkin adorned with fall-hued sunflowers or daisies.

2. Succulent Pumpkin Planter

Looking for something that’s equally stunning but will last weeks longer? Try carving out your pumpkin as per usual. But this time, put a plastic pot containing your favorite succulent plant inside. Make sure the size is just right to fit into and to be concealed by the pumpkin. Rose-forming succulents would look especially amazing for this project.

3. Fall-Themed Orchids in Gourd Vases

A good alternative or variation to pumpkins are gourds, which are a cousin of the bright orange vegetable fall staple. Pale-colored gourd make a good base for the rich tones of fall blooms like orchids.

4. Gilded and Metallic

Not a fan of shocking orange but still want to keep up with the trends? Gilded pumpkins in gold and silver are totally chic and classy.

5. Miniature Pumpkins Centerpieces

These hobbit-sized pumpkins are super cute and stylish too. They work as gorgeous fillers and interesting ornaments to fresh flower arrangements. They’re also recommended if you want to play it low key on the pumpkin bandwagon.

6. Pretty Pumpkin and Votives

These little pumpkin and gourd votives make tasteful fall decorations. Use pumpkin and gourds in varying hues, shapes, and sizes. Do the drill. Carve out the insides of the veggies, put your great-smelling scented candles in, arrangement them in a catch-all tray, and voila! This amazing centerpiece will work its wonders wherever you put it.

7. All White Flower Arrangements

A flawless fusion of fall, Scandinavian, and a die-hard love for all things white and neutral, an all-white pumkin centerpiece is a sure fit for Rosh Hashanah dinners. Paired with a sleek black faux pumpkin and you've got an elegant goth and gorgeous ensemble.
